UFO occupants have certainly changed appearance over the years. In the 50's and 60's they were reported as looking very much like us, with some minor differences. They were shorter than the average human and had larger heads. In many of the cases they wore tight fitting suits similar to those worn by divers and pilots. It wasn't until the 80's that the "greys" came on the scene, although some of the reports from the 60's could be describing the same type of beings.
Here is a list of some of the entity types reported over the past sixty years:
1) Dwarves (human looking, but shorter - some reported covered in hair)
2) Greys (Type I and II - short and tall)
3) Reptilian
4) Tall Whites (usually have blond hair)
5) Robots
6) Mantis (head and face resemble that of a Praying Mantis)
